My "Can't-Miss" recommendations for tomorrow and Sunday.

Finally! We’re seeing a more normal wintertime fishing pattern here on the Northshore.
You don’t have to worry about dodging any fronts this weekend since the latest front already came through on Thursday.
This weekend is looking really good!
The barometric pressure will be stable for Saturday and dropping Sunday ahead of another front that is forecasted to come through on Monday making Sunday the better day to fish.
Winds look good as well. NE 6-9 on Saturday and ENE 7-10 on Sunday.

The Chalmette Wall
Sorry in advance for sending you into the flotilla, but the wall is on fire right now!
The colder temperatures have set in, and now it’s all about fishing deeper water.
Last week, the fish were spread out because of unseasonably warm water temperatures, but this week, we’ve seen a more typical bite.
It’s amazing how fast things change. This past week, we’ve seen an increase in sheepshead, bluecats, and even bass.
If you’re going after specks you’re going to want to stick with plastics. Matrix Shad, Speck-Drum, or whatever 3”-4” plastic you prefer.
Drop-shotting smaller plastics will work too, just be sure to nose-hook the lure for a better presentation.
If you’re looking to restock your freezer, live shrimp is going to put meat in the box quick!

ICW Marsh
I can hear it now. “The ICW ain’t freshwater Keith!
But if it’s bass you’re looking for, there’s no better place to fish right now than the marsh.
Here’s the deal.
All the duck ponds that WERE jam-packed with bass over the fall, are finally draining out.
All the redfish and bass that were back there are being forced out of those ponds and into the canals.
Bass fishing will never be as easy as it will be from now until February.
Literally every canal in the ICW that leads to a duck pond will be produced this weekend.
T-rigged plastic craws, spinnerbaits, and weightless flukes will work, but it’s going to be hard to beat a Marker 54 Jerk Shrimp or a Vudu right now.
Past Lock’s
I’ve had a few guys ask about reading past locks, so I’ve added a link that brings you to the homepage where each weekend’s picks are archived.
